wildings
Nature-based play and discovery for young kids
Urban to Wilds’ Wilding program gives younger children the freedom to explore, play and learn in natural environments. Something that is not easily available in our urban environment.
Inspired by forest-school principals, our Wildings sessions use child-led exploration, sensory play, storytelling, simple tools, natural materials and manageable challenges to support confidence, creativity and physical development.
The aim here is to build on curiosity and meaningful engagement with the natural world rather than completing a fixed activity.
Who can take part: Wildings is designed primarily for children aged 3–9
Where and how: Our Urban to Wild team will deliver Wildings programs through regular sessions such as nursery and school programs, community activities and family events.
